Plenty of progress recently with White Lady Atlantean 1279. Most of the work to replace corroded chassis sections at the rear has now been completed and attention has now switched to the interior. New flooring has been laid throughout downstairs and we have started to lay lino. New curved panels have been made to link the base of the side panels to the floor. The sliding door on the main luggage compartment has been refurbished and re-hung.

In parallel the replacement engine is being checked prior to installation. A problem with the starter motor has been resolved after a struggle with access – Leyland did not fit it in the most convenient position. Hopefully all the engine checking will be completed by early March. We hope to start work shortly on rewiring while interior work will include fitting rexine to side panels prior to fitting of window pans.
