PD2 1467 was moved into the centre of the building to allow it to be raised on the Hywemas. This gives access to the chassis to allow the remaining rods, cables and pipes to be fitted prior to installing the engine and gearbox. It has also made it easy to apply stone chip protective paint to the chassis and the bottom part of the floor boards.

The upper deck internal painting has now been completed including the stairs and in the near future the lower deck interior will receive its final coat. There’s still plenty of work to do but this very through restoration is progressing well.
