Many and varied activities at our depot this week. A rare good day’s weather this week allowed work to be done outside. An area of poor quality concrete had been dug out and is now in the process of being replaced. Inside the depot work continues on White Lady 1279. A replacement chassis section has been welded and plated in place to replace the one with corrosion problems. The replacement engine has received further attention and performed well on test.

Another step forward was the fitting of the cab door to Tiger Cub 452. The bus has been running for several years without a cab door but after it was retrieved from storage and repaired it has been possible to do a trial fitting. More work is required to make it fit properly but it’s almost there. After that it needs a section fitting which will hold the Syro change machine. Finally all buses have had their anti-freeze levels checked (unless drained) and topped up where necessary to be ready for winter temperatures.
