Over the weekend of September 16/17 RVPT supported the local Rotary Club with their steam rally at Lytham Hall. This is a location we use of course and most of the funds raised were for the Hall’s restoration. Our role was provide a free park & ride service from adjacent car parks to the Hall. All went smoothly and many visitors used the service. Apart from an isolated shower we once again enjoyed good weather.
Apart from the traction engines, steam lorries etc there were other items of interest. Local firm Wareings presented a fine selection of lorries including the once ubiquitous Thames Trader. We also had a mobile bar which provided the unusual sight of a vintage bus with hanging baskets!
