RVPT participated in the annual rally based at Kirkby Stephen and Brough. Atlantean 1481 operated on both Easter Saturday and Sunday while Tiger Cub 452 came for Sunday only. Both worked the free service between Brough and Kirkby Stephen West railway station. Heavy loadings were the order of the day, probably due in part to the frequent squally showers which featured on Sunday. As ever the climb up to the railway provides a stern challenge but all the buses seemed to cope although 452’s small engine got a good workout.
