Our principal Ribble restorations continue to make steady progress. Royal Tiger 377 has been fitted with a new exhaust system and much of the new flooring has been installed. It’s a painstaking job fitting the floor but once completed we will be able to move onto the upper body areas.
PD2 1349 has had the remainder of its chassis sand blasted followed by rust treatment (Jenolite) and application of primer. The cab area which is being reconstructed has also been treated. More wood inserts have been fitted to the body sides and the area around the upstairs new sunken gangway has been cleaned up and primed. The air filter has been removed for clean up as has the oil filter. The folding doors are being stripped down as they are in poor condition and need significant attention.
