RVPT has organised a number of events during 2019 to celebrate the centenary of Ribble Motor Services. The final event took place on Sunday, September 8 at the Museum of Liverpool which is situated at Mann Island close to the rejuvenated George’s Dock. Four of our buses were on display outside the museum and we erected a small display about Ribble in the foyer. The display was held to coincide with the annual running day organised by the Merseyside Transport Trust and also based at Mann Island.

Ribble had a major operation in Liverpool with large depots at Bootle and Aintree. Our display included touring coach 1036 which was based at Aintree and Park Royal Atlantean 1397 which spent 10 years at Bootle. Liverpool depots also had numerous REs such as 338 while early Atlanteans like 1686 could be found on the 101 service to Preston.
