Plenty going on at our depot over the past couple of months despite the lack of events to attend. Royal Tiger saloon 377 continues to make good progress with much of the interior now complete. The cab area is still being worked on and there are a few windows to fit but it is getting to the point where the seats can be fitted.

Lowbridge PD2 1349 now has all windows fitted so in due course work will start on preparing the top deck prior to laying lino. Much of the recent work on Burlingham PD2 1467 has been electrical and mechanical; the cab area wiring is now complete with attention now on the notorious sliding doors. All pipework on the engine has been installed so the next job is to link up the remaining sections of brake rodding and the vacuum pipes for the brakes. With the progress made around the engine it has been possible to fit the bonnet and nearside wing. Although a minor step in itself it is a visible sign of progress.

Ou recently acquired Trident 18139 has been receiving a minor refurbishment. Several lower panels have been replaced, lower deck windows refurbished and front and rear bumpers repaired. It is currently away for painting and should be available for our cavalcade on October 3rd. Various other buses are under repair or minor refurbishment so no let up in activity despite working with restricted numbers due to Covid restrictions.
