Nothing lasts forever and when a bus is nearly 80 years old that becomes very apparent. Our TD5 2057 needed a new exhaust system and the rear springs were overdue for replacement or refurbishment. The bus was hoisted up on the Hywemas to allow removal of the exhaust and the springs. A new stainless steel exhaust was made by Steelson Engineering of Kirkham and test fitted. The springs went to well known Owen Springs of Aldwarke and after they were successfully installed the exhaust was fixed in place.

The next step was road testing which went smoothly followed by a detailed inspection on the ramp. 2057 is now ready to operate in service at our Morecambe running day on Sunday, May 29th
