The joint Ribble / Fishwick running day based at Leyland went well and fortunately ended just before heavy rain swept in. Free services were operated by Ribble buses to Chorley while Fishwick buses ran the Preston services. A number of guest buses also operated on the routes while others were on static display. There was also the opportunity to visit the British Commercial Vehicle Museum adjacent to the car park where the event was based. You Tube has some videos the the day.

RVPT buses in action included Burlingham bodied PD2 1467 and some more ‘modern’ vehicles as shown in one our these photos. A variety of Fishwick buses operated in service including this East Lancs bodied AN68. It was good to have a Bedford OB at the event. OBs were once common at bus rallies but are much less common these days.

We will be present at the Skipton running day on Sunday, October 11th which will be our ‘end of season’ event
