Members’ Day

Each year RVPT holds an open day for our members which provides an opportunity to look around our depot and chat with fellow members. We also provide some trips out on some of our buses. Most of the fleet is brought out of the depot for photos and is parked with the kind permission of our friends Walton’s Coaches. Due to lack of space members are asked to park in Freckleton village and we provide a shuttle bus to our depot. We were pleasantly surprised when the first shuttle of the day, Olympian 2101, was unable to accommodate all the waiting members and we had to send a duplicate!

The photographs show some of the buses lined up for inspection. Leyland National 382 is displayed as it is fully restored mechanically and much of the bodywork is complete. The centre doors should be fitted quite soon. PD2 1467 was one of the buses providing trips in the afternoon.
